All right, I'm back at school (unfortunately), and I've got some news worth sharing. It's mostly good, which is great because I'm not looking forward to classes starting next week...
I got the manga collection I mentioned earlier, and it's mostly intact, with one major exception: There are panels missing in one of the GG3 volumes. The previous owner physically cut them out for some reason. Very annoying. This is going to make scanning somewhat irritating, as the ones I release will be incomplete. It'll also make translating impossible, and for this I apologize.
I'll start scanning as soon as I can, probably within the next few days. Ideally, it'll start after I submit my next deviation. I was really hoping to upload it today, in honor of a very important friend...But, like last time, things didn't work out as such. How unfortunate...I'm truly sorry for that, R.
The manga that I have in my possession that will be scanned are:
Ganbare Goemon: Yuki-hime Kyuushutsu Emaki (aka Legend of the Mystical Ninja)
[link]Shin Ganbare Goemon: Jigoku-Hen
Ganbare Goemon Gaiden
Ganbare Goemon 2: Kiteretsu Shogun Magginesu
[link]Ganbare Goemon 3: Shishi Jurokubei no Karakuri Manji Gatame
Ganbare Goemon 4: Kirakira Douchuu - Boku ga Dansaa ni Natta Wake (Yes, this is the correct romanization, according to the manga itself.)
Ganbare Goemon: Uchuu Kaizoku Akogingu (Translation in progress; will resume later this year.)
Ganbare Goemon Fever
[link]Ganbare Goemon: Neo Momoyama Bakufu no Odori (aka Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon; this is my personal favorite of the manga)
I'll put links to the collections of scans next to the names of the manga as I get to them, so check back periodically. It'll be easier for me this way than making a new journal every time I finish scanning a manga will be, so no complaints! I won't go through the trouble of doing this if I have to deal with a lot of whiny people getting mad at me for doing this differently than they would if they were in my position!
UPDATE (9/7/09): The first set of manga scans (Yuki-hime Kyuushutsu Emaki) is now up! I've decided the best way to do this would be to type updates here as needed, and make sure the update alerts watchers.
A few notes about the scans: This zip file is HUGE, almost 600 MB. If you think this is excessively large, let me know and in the future I'll upload them as individual volumes as opposed to a file that contains all volumes of the particular manga. I may even go back and re-upload the individual volumes of this one, if enough people want me to (as opposed to having all three in the same zip file).
Yes, I know a lot of them are terrible. The color scheme seems to change between two different types, and there are some where you can see my finger(s) or wrists. To anybody that complains about this, I say "Too bad." I'm not gonna re-scan these anytime soon. Doing it once was enough of a pain in the butt, and that's why some of them are as bad as they are. I had to try different things to attempt to get consistently good scans, and it wasn't worth going back and replacing the bad ones.
There's some miniature guides on the parts of the game covered by the specific manga volume at the beginning of each one (that's why the scans start on page 9). I decided to leave them out because the scans I uploaded took up more than enough of my time and memory space as is. I may go back and scan those later, if enough people want it. It just seemed like an unnecessary hassle at the time...In my opinion, the actual manga is much more important.
GG2 is coming up next, so look out for that!
UPDATE (9/22/09): As promised, I've got GG2 up. It's another big zip file, but not quite as big as LotMN. This one's closer to 500 MB, but the same spiel about image quality goes here. Enjoy!
I'm gonna be doing Fever next, because it's only one issue and I want to finish scanning it by a specific date (October 6)...At that point, scanning will hopefully speed up for at least a week before returning to the normal pace (give or take). So, I'll try to have that up by the 6th (which should be plenty of time...I hope...).
UPDATE (10/5/09): Good news, guys! I got Fever uploaded a little ahead of schedule, when I was worried that I might not be able to meet the deadline at all...Here it is:
[link]Not sure whether any scans will be done over the next two weeks...I know I won't be doing very many, if any at all. However, a good friend of all of us might be able to, and would do so more often than I could...Not sure which one I'm working on next, either, I'm thinking GG4 but that might change.
END UPDATES

After this long wait, it's finally almost here. But you're worth the wait.

Inside my soul is a forest filled with camel spiders holding pens, carefully drawing cow-spotted cats on packages of instant noodles....
This is just about the best thing ever: [link]
Anyway, yeah, I really can't wait! The more I think about it the more excited I get, and that's really saying something considering how awesome I thought this was gonna be back when we first started planning it. It's nearly impossible to think of anything else now, you've so consumed my mind.
We only have to wait three more days...Almost there, almost. And by the way, you're definitely worth the wait, as well.
Have fun in Vegas!

Fact: Though I am deeply saddened that you're no longer within walking distance, I'm also super excited that we'll be seeing each other soon! That's what's sustaining me at this moment...
It seems like you pretend to follow the writing career as well. That's awesome!! Are you really willing to? If you do, I'm with ya!!

Heh, yeah, I'm still writing, and trying to explore more genres/franchises along the way. Thus, the 100 Theme Challenge. I still don't wanna write as a full-time career, but it's a nice hobby at least until I'm out of college.
"Until"? I thought you had finished college already. What a long way!! Well, since you aren't willing to try the writing-career, you'll definitely work as enginner, right?! Anything planned already? Any job on sight? (nosy)
Who knows: maybe you could use your payments to self-publish your own novels, if you want to.
Take a look at this awesome fan made combat between Final Fantasy and Dead or Alive's girls. It's unbelievable [link] . The guy who made it is so good that nowadays he's working for Namco.

Nope, I've still got one more year of college. I'm going to try my best to work as an engineer as soon as I can after my graduation next May.
Sorry, but Youtube doesn't work too well out here, so I'm gonna have to wait to watch that, I think...
No youtube? Oh my, how sad: it's the greatest battle of all. Ok, better luck next time.
I assume you're working right now. So have a good day of work
